It’s often fascinating to spot similarities between different systems. In this article Jim Fallon shares his personal perspectives on some parallels between Huna and the Holy Grail. Enjoy.

The Holy Grail ? Yes. The grail is a bowl or chalice that was used in ancient shamanic ceremonies and almost all other religious practices for sharing mana, and as used in the bible, was supposed to endow the individual with healing and everlasting life, for the secret of the Last Supper is only consuming something living (that has mana) is one able to live. The grail is a container, or receptacle, to receive the spiritual authority, the mana.
We still practice this sharing blessing ritual today, for example, when we “lift” a glass to toast and say “good fortune” and then drink the water or beverage. We know that water can be altered, or charged, with intention.
Water is used by Kahunas of Hawaii as one of many symbols of mana. The charged intent of the water goes into the body and “programs” the Aura, which is like the software that controls the hardware of your body and consciousness. The “grail” water can raise the frequency of your bio energetic field and manifest the desired charged intention and change the state of consciousness.
The Kahunas (those who were experts in medicine in Hawaii) had a great reverence for water and recognised it as a force required to sustain life. Serge King notes that the water sharing bowl is a “tool based on ancient shamanic practices found in Hawaii for sharing Health, Wealth & Happiness in your life”. The shaman “charges” the water with intent, adds salt to the water to help manifest the intention onto this physical plane, then shares the water so that this charged water can change the vibration or program the aura, the spiritual body which then changes the consciousness and influences the body.
The quest for the Grail is the way of the Huna Adventurer, to ask the famous Grail question, of the Grail Legends, “Whom does the grail serve?”. The way of the adventurer is to go on a quest to find out how we may be of service.
We also learn from the King Arthur stories, that the knights were on a the Hero’s Quest or journey for self-discovery. They were trying to achieve a state of enlightenment, much like the spirit of Aloha.
The water sharing ritual symbolises the aspects of the three selves, the Ku, Lono and Kane. So the Grail is you, which is a container of the three selves.
