In Hawaii kahuna kuhikuhi puʻuone were trained experts in these skills and practised awareness of subtle changes in energy patterns. This involves how things are positioned, the energy flows and the ability to tune in to things.
This was a practice that the kahuna would use to position their heiau – sacred spaces within the energy fields of the landscape.
