In a recent discussion with Serge King, I asked him about the notion of the Aloha Spirit. Sometimes open to misinterpretation, the Aloha Spirit is part of a very practical philosophy and is an integral principle of Huna.
Serge describes how Aloha is the happy part of any relationship. Of course in the Huna philosophy, relationships are not limited to the relationships we have with other people and animals. Relationships extend to all around us including the land, other natural and man-made phenomena.
Serge refers to the ideas around blessing and appreciation which relate to Aloha and which are detailed in the beautiful and elegantly simple Little Pink Booklet of Aloha.
In my experience, Aloha provides a wonderful ethic incorporated into the practice of Huna. Enjoy this clip of Serge and Aloha to you all!
